About Us
Who is M{y}na?
A small Ireland-based group of feminists, including:
Ktreu - Hi! I’m an American currently studying for my Master’s in Dublin. I’m the main admin for M{y}na, and my passions include food justice, simple living, craft, intersectional feminisms and changing daily practices to bring about change.
What’s M{y}na’s mission?
- To share the faces of feminism in Ireland. This island has rich and diverse feminist presences and outlooks which will be listened to.
- To share how the institutions of Ireland tear down or support those feminisms.
- To share day to day living strategies for and from feminist women in order to live more authentically.
What’s with the name?
Mna (pronounced ma-naa) is one of the Irish words for Women. A the myna bird is an adaptable, gregarious and resiliant bird with an invasive tendency, just like our feminism! Feel free to pronounce it either way.
